The George St. Bike Challenge started out as a dare to Worcester legend and cycling champion Major Taylor. Someone said he couldn’t make it up the steepest street in the city and accomplished it…TWICE! For the past 20 years cyclists from around the area take the challenge to pay tribute to Taylor.
