Worcester’s Tommy Jay Dwyer is a filmmaker, actor, writer and comes from a fire fighting family. When he noticed some fire stations were almost un-livable he wanted to let the public know what some first responders have to deal with. The documentary “Burning Down The House” came out of those efforts and will have it’s premier at The Hanover Theater in Worcester on August 6(2026). Mike Hsu talks to him about what towns he focused on, his roots in the fire fighter community and his efforts to build up Worcester’s film making community.
