This week on The Pike, we caught up with Jay Grey — the guy behind Odd By Worcester Brewing and Broth Ramen — after a fire tore through @ The Common on Mechanic Street. The blaze broke out Saturday afternoon in the middle of that wicked storm. Fire crews knocked it down fast, and luckily nobody got hurt. But between the sprinklers, the hoses, and the chaos, Jay’s two spots took a beating. Both Odd By Worcester and Broth are shut down, and the whole mall is closed while investigators figure out what went down. It’s a brutal hit for Worcester’s local scene, and right now the future of these fan-favorite hangouts is up in the air.
