José Antonio Rivera is a proud son of Worcester, MA, and a former WBA welterweight and super welterweight champion. Jose became a professional boxer in October 1992 and became the Massachusetts State Champion twice, the USBA Regional Champion, the IBO World Champion, and the NABA Champion. So of course the Worcester Railers included him in their Sports Legends night this Saturday(1/21/23) at the DCU Center. Jose talks to Mike Hsu about what inspired him to take up boxing and why he never left Worcester.
