Did anyone see this coming? Metallica have announced the release date for their new album, “72 Seasons” with a video of the first song, “Lux Aeterna”. The 12 track album will be available on April 24, 2023. They have also announced the M72 No Repeat Weekend World Tour which comes to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA August 2 and 4 of 2024. The show will feature two different sets on two nights with different openers for each night. The Foxborough shows will have the newly reformed Pantera and Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth WVH on the first night and Five Finger Death Punch and local guys Ice Nine Kills on the second. Tickets go on sale this Friday but Listen to the Pike this week to win tickets on Mistress Carrie’s show and next week on the Pike Morning Show! Those tickets will be good for both shows! We’ll also be giving them away through our Metallica Weekend this weekend!
